The Road Warrior

I finally got around to watching The Road Warrior. Overall I liked it. Although it was definitely not far superior to the original, but it was definitely the better movie.

Probably the best thing about the movie was the amazing costumes and vehicles. Everything looked fantastic, it was as if the crew were let into a junk yard and were told to make everything from the scraps they can find. There are far too many movies where everything looks too clean and perfect.

The story was nothing special, but it fit nicely with everything seeming to be plausible in a potential future. One thing that really stood out was that one of the bandits did a flip over someones head... it seemed kind of out of place for someone who was clearly not a gymnast of any sort. But then again, those bandits probably have a lot of free time, so I guess it's not impossible that he could spend a lot of time practicing.

Overall it was a great movie. I really don't think it we'll see another movie like this anytime soon. There is a third movie though, so I guess I'll watch that soon.

El Presidente

So, Barack Obama won the election. I know I'm a little late on this, but I thought I would make a comment.

Anyhow, I am a citizen of the United States, although I was born and raised in Canada. Even though I've lived in the US for quite a few years now I never really was happy living here.

Seeing Senator Obama speak many times on television and hearing him during the debates with Senator McCain, I finaly saw an American I truly admired.

I am glad to see this nation come together and elect Barack Obama. Being able to vote for him has been one of the proudest moments in my life. Because of him I was able to see a country come together, and now I am truly proud to be an American.

I still consider myself Canadian first and formost though :D

Mad Max

I just watched Mad Max for the first time, and I have to say it's a pretty good movie. Although I am judging it by different standards than most movies. It was made on a small budget with a novice director. Anyhow, taking that into consideration, it was a really good movie. You could tell that the story was written with the budget in mind. The long empty roads of Australia is where most of the movie took place.

I'm planning on watching the sequel "The road warrior" soon. From what I've read it is a much better movie that the original. Kinda like how "Terminator 2" was.

Let me know what you think about "Mad Max", I would love to hear what you'all have to say.

Is this okay?

Hello everyone! This is my first post(if you haven't figure that out yet). Anyway, you really should read all my posts... once I have more that is. Although I won't stop you from reading this post over and over again. yes.
